The story of Happi Menstrual Cup began when May, one of our founders, travelled to Maldives, but couldn’t join the fun in the water because she was having a period. Upon coming back from the trip, she began researching for ways to handle her period and eventually found the best solution, a menstrual cup. Menstrual cups are safe, and can be worn while going for a swim and many other activities. With menstrual cups, May won’t miss out on any special occasions. Plus, menstrual cups help reducing the risk of getting infection, lessening odors, can be worn up to 12 hours, are comfortable as if not having a period, and can be worn to sleep. More importantly, menstrual cups are budget friendly because they can be used for a long time, and also help reducing infectious waste. 

The next challenge we face is that most Thais are not aware of menstrual cups, even though they have been made popular in America and Europe for decades. One of the causes is that the product is not readily available and has to be shipped from abroad. Moreover, there is not enough information in Thai. And these are all the reasons why we decided to create the brand, HappiCup.

Apart from making menstrual cups widely known, our goal is to provide Thai women with a better alternative to deal with their period. This is why we stress on the importance of research and development - designing a menstrual cup that is suitable for Thai women’s bodies; paying attention to the production process by selecting the best material, which is a medical grade silicone, 100% imported from abroad (medical grade, model b7140U) from an internationally certified manufacturer (ISO 9001 : 2015, ISO 13485 : 2016); and giving importance to educating and providing information in Thai, with the help from specialists and physicians who will assist every user pre- and post-purchase.
